The saga of a jilted lover and a jealous husband, Pagliacci tells the tale of Canio, the leader of a traveling commedia dell’arte troupe. Canio is the clown who must laugh, and make others laugh, while masking his grief after learning that his wife Nedda has betrayed him for another man. In the end, art meets tragedy in a rage of passion and jealousy.

Come and enjoy Opera San Jose's production of Ruggero Leoncavallo's most famous opera in the company of our friends from Princeton. An exclusive backstage tour conducted by Opera San Jose Director Larry Hancock will immediately follow the performance! We have only 10 tickets available.

The performance starts at 3 pm. Mr. Hancock will also be giving a pre-performance talk "Introduction to Opera" prior to the show at 1:30 pm if you would like to attend (it's free).

Funds from the event will be used to support Cornell endowed scholarships to deserving students.

Note: The event is on Nov 18th but registration closes on Nov 10th! Book your tickets early!

This event is co-hosted with Princeton Club of Northern California
