The Secretary documents the official actions of Cornell NorCal. The Secretary designs the record keeping structure and keeps the official records of the club.

The Secretary is responsible for keeping accurate minutes at meetings. Organize document storage location used by the organization. Maintain a copy of the by-laws of the organization accessible to the members of the board.

The Secretary is an Officer of the Board and can take official action on behalf of the Association. The Secretary provides notice of all Board meetings and takes attendance. Record action items discussed at board meeting into minutes (or other organizational system) and review status of open items at every meeting. Maintain a list of all standing committees.
