South Bay Hike in the Woods - Pets on Leash (Sat, July 18, 2026)

Join your fellow Cornell alumni for a refreshing morning hike in beautiful South Bay! This is a perfect chance to reconnect with old friends, make new connections, and get some exercise while enjoying nature's beauty. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just looking for a casual stroll, this event is for you! It's a wonderful way to build community and experience the outdoors together.

Dogs are allowed on leash if you want to bring your furry along. Make sure to bring water along for your dog as well.

We will adjust the trail according to what we all prefer!

About the Trail: All trails link

The trail is an easy to moderate hike, suitable for all levels of hikers.

Cell phone reception might be spotty at the trailhead. Please plan to arrive on time.

WHEN

Saturday, July 18, 2025 8:30 -11:30 AM .

Meet at trail head by 8:30AM. The hike will start at 8:45AM sharp.

LOCATION

Sanborn County Park, 16055 Sanborn Rd, Saratoga, CA 95070

Dress Code: Casual and comfortable shoes; remember to wear your Cornell red!

What to bring:

1-2L of water
Sunscreen and a hat (the trail is shaded in some parts and exposed in some)

Parking: Please follow the link here. as this parking lot is closest to the trailhead. Please bring a credit card to make payments for park entry ($6). Apple Pay may not work.

Cornell Cares East Bay - Calling All Animal Lovers! (Sat, August 29, 2026)

Volunteer with Milo Animal Rescue at Point Richmond for Cornell Cares! This is the eighth time we have shown our generous Big Red spirit at this popular volunteer event, while benefiting from a fun and rewarding experience with fellow alumni.

There are countless ways that you can help make a difference for the many animals currently awaiting adoption. Volunteers can help with animal care tasks, such as brushing dogs and socializing cats, or maintenance of the facilities.

We will meet at the Milo facility at 220 S. Garrard Blvd. in Point Richmond at 10 am; please plan to arrive on time. Plenty of street parking is available. There will be a brief orientation, followed by volunteer activities. Children must be at least 12 and accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Registration closes on Thursday, August 27 at 5 pm (or when registration is full), and is limited to 15 people. Please register everyone who's attending, including your children. If your plans change, please notify Mae Lum at maewlum@gmail.com so that your spot can go to another Cornellian.
