Tell us about what you're doing with your life, including what brought you to the Bay Area.
After a long, successful career in Consumer Marketing, I founded a Telemedicine start-up that specializes in Teledentistry. We offer consumers across the US a simple, inexpensive and highly effective online solution to tooth decay and cavities. We applied cutting edge technology to an evidence-based, clinically-tested tooth decay prevention protocol pioneered at UCSF Dental School in 2006.
In what ways have you stayed connected with Cornell since graduating?
I have a core group of Cornell friends with whom I stay in contact regularly from around the US. My son graduated from Cornell in 2017 and was able to take a number of trips back to campus while he was there. I'm also active in Cornell NorCal.
If you could go back to your years on the Hill - what one piece of advice would you share with that younger version of you?
The Hotel School has a fairly rigid set of requirements, but I would try to take more classes throughout the university. When able to fit them in my schedule, I loved those classes..
What was the most important class, club or connection made while at Cornell that has been important in your career (or life) journey?
During the fall semester, the Dean invites an industry leader to speak to the entire school on Friday afternoon. The person arrives on Thursday and is a guest of the Dean for a seven-course dinner planned and prepared by a select group of four students (the Dean's Culinary Team). As a senior I was a member of the team, which was a WONDERFUL experience.
