Children’s Tour of Chabot Space & Science Center
Get your kids ready for this exciting family-friendly event in the East Bay! Cornell NorCal is going on a private docent-led tour of Chabot Space & Science Center in Oakland.
Join fellow families in the Oakland hills for a fun, educational tour of the Chabot Space and Science Center. This center features a planetarium, hands-on and interactive exhibitions, and an observatory--fun for all ages!
The docent-led tour will take children and parents all around the museum, and will spend ample time at the telescopes. We will be split into groups of about 12 parents and children each, so there will be plenty of individual attention. The tour will last 1-1.5 hours, depending on how many questions you have for the docent. Families are then welcome to stay for the rest of the day to explore the museum, play and learn at the Project Create center, and visit a show at the planetarium--a great value for so many diverse, educational experiences!
Location: Meet outside the entrance to the Chabot Space and Science Center at 10000 Skyline Boulevard, Oakland, CA 94619
Date/Time: Sunday, March 25, 2018. 9:45am-11:30am. Tour starts promptly at 10:00am and lasts 60-90 minutes.
Parking: Free parking is available at the parking structure adjacent to the Space Center.
Please note: This is a family event, so an adult must register along with the children they are registering and must accompany the children throughout the tour; no drop-offs. You'll need to create separate registrations for the adults and children who are attending, so please let us know if you have any trouble with the registration system.
