Our seasonal festivities may look a little different this year, but the spirit of conviviality remains strong. Gather ‘round the screen for this virtual soirée! We’re invited into the kitchen with Chef Robert Sulatycky and Finger Lakes winemaker Nova Cadamatre ‘06 as they guide us in preparing a delicious appetizer perfect for a holiday celebration and choosing the ideal wine — for any budget — to toast the new year and new beginnings. Not a wine fan? No problem, non-alcoholic drinks and spirits will be discussed as well. Taste and cook along with Nova and Chef Robert, or just get cozy and savor the experience.

Chef Robert will be preparing pan-roasted sea scallop with charred cauliflower, tarragon, and sauvignon blanc. A list of ingredients is forthcoming; substitutions will be suggested for vegetarians as well as those with shellfish allergies.
To sip with the appetizer, we recommend sauvignon blanc, riesling, or something crisp and sparkling. Visit your local wine merchant to pick up a bottle of your choice or order from one of these Cornell alumni-affiliated brands. Delivery not guaranteed by date of event, but it's still a great way to show your Big Red support.
