Lace up your hiking shoes and bring your pup! Join fellow Cornell alumni for a relaxed hike with your friendly dogs at Pulgas Ridge. Dog lovers are also welcome! We’ll walk through scenic trails, including a special area where dogs can be off-leash. Whether you're catching up with old friends or meeting new ones, this is the perfect way to connect—with beautiful Bay Area nature, your Cornell community, and some adorably loyal four-legged companions who love the great outdoors too!
Pulgas Ridge Open Space Preserve is a 366-acre site with six miles of trails, offering access to cool canyons and a ridge top with views toward the bay and surrounding hillsides. Group size will be limited to 10 participants to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone.
Please note:
• Friendly and well-behaved dogs only.
• Dogs must be on a 6-foot or less leash on all trails. We can let dogs off-leash in the 17.5-acre area located in the center of the preserve. For more guidelines about dog access, go to https://www.openspace.org/where-to-go/what-to-do/dogs.
• Please bring water for you and your dog, waste bags (please clean up after your pet), comfortable hiking shoes, a hat, and sunscreen.
• The meeting point is the Pulgas Ridge parking lot. Exact location will be sent to registrants. We will set off no later than 10:40 am.
Registration ends on Friday, June 13 at 5 pm and is limited to 10 participants, so register now. Wear your Cornell red!
