Cornell Cares South Bay - Habitat Restoration Project

  • 12 Jul 2025
  • 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • McClellan Ranch Preserve, 22221 McClellan Road, Cupertino 95014

Show your generous Big Red spirit by joining fellow Cornell alumni in giving back to nature through a fun, hands-on volunteer event at a beautiful South Bay preserve. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the environment, connect with alumni, and enjoy the outdoors.

Volunteers will assist with habitat restoration tasks such as removing invasive plants, spreading mulch, and caring for native species - all to help restore the local ecosystem. No experience is necessary, and all tools and supplies will be provided by Grassroots Ecology.

Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and closed-toe shoes. It’s recommended to bring a refillable water bottle, a sun hat or sunscreen, and work gloves if you have them. There will be a brief orientation, followed by volunteer activities.

Registration is required and a waiver form must be completed in advance. Youth under 18 must have their legal guardian approve the waiver on their behalf and must be accompanied by an adult. Registration closes on Thursday, July 10 at 5 pm, and is limited to 20 peopleWear your Cornell red!
